Long time St. Louis Blue, Barret Jackman will reportedly announce his retirement on Tuesday October 3, 2016. The British Columbia native was selected 17th overall in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft by St. Louis and was associated with the club for 16 years. The 35 year old veteran played 13 seasons in the NHL for St. Louis and in 2015 was released to free agency. He finished out his career on a 1 year contract with the Nashville Predators. Jackman will finish out his career with 186 points and in 876 career NHL games. A true veteran and leader in the NHL, Jackman won the Calder Memorial Trophy (Rookie of the Year) in 2003, and represented Team Canada on three different occasions (2000, 2001, 2007).
